Browns' Wood Trail is an 800-metre forested path on Mount Newton’s southern slopes, gifted by Dorothy and Bill Brown so future generations could enjoy its natural beauty

  • This 800 meter trail is located on the southern slopes of Mount Newton

  • It was Central Saanich residents Dorothy and Bill Brown’s wish that future generations enjoy the splendour of their land, which led them to donate the public trail corridor

  • There are some wooden walkways and a few steep sections along the trail 

Lands

  • The traditional territory of the Wsanec peoples, including the Tsartlip and Tsawout First Nations
