About

  • This park was renamed from Marina Park in 2002 to honour Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee

  • The park is on the smaller side but it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the view of Mount Baker

  • You’ll also find some interpretive signs with information on local birds and a tribute to J. Fenwick Landsdowne, one of the world’s most foremost painters of birds

  • The park has a time capsule that was installed in 2006 for Oak Bay’s 100th anniversary and it will be opened in 2056 for Oak Bay’s 150th anniversary

  • The art installation in the park is called The Hunt and depicts a pack of steel wolves
