Visiting Kinsol Trestle. The trestle was designed by engineers and was built by 55 local farmers and loggers starting in 1911 to transport timber more efficiently by rail and it was completed in February 1920.

Discovering a nature trail at SMONEĆTEN Campground in North Saanich. The 20 hectare campground was originally named McDonald Provincial Park in March 1948. The land was transferred from the province of B.C. to Parks Canada in 2003. The land was renamed SMONEĆTEN in 2021 in recognition of its cultural significance to the WSÁNEĆ People. Located opposite the reversing falls, it had a sun-deck, springboards, freshwater showers and the added excitement of leaping from the bridge into the rushing water below.
