Butterfield Park is a hidden gem in Central Saanich, featuring a 700-metre loop trail, vibrant spring gardens, stunning views of Mt. Newton Valley, and a connection to the nearby Browns’ Wood Trail

  • This park is 5.3 hectares and is located in Central Saanich (Saanichton)

  • The park has a 700-meter loop trail

  • The park entrance is behind a gate and looks like a residence but there are a few parking spots available

  • It has stunning natural landscape providing spectacular views of the Mt. Newton Valley and site’s many gardens (very colourful in the spring)

  • The park also connects to the Browns’ Wood Trail located at 8069 Thomson Place

  • The traditional territory of the Wsanec peoples, including the Tsartlip and Tsawout First Nations
