Location

About

  • This 18.42 hectare park was established in 1958 to commemorate B.C. becoming a Crown colony in 1858.

  • It boasts many amenities from sports fields to a 2.3 km wooded walking trail (quite wide, very few tree roots and a couple of moderately steep sections).

  • The trails are a favourite for horseback riding.

  • Some of the outdoor shelters/picnic table areas are able to be booked for events.

  • Flowing quietly along the western edge of Centennial Park, Graham Creek is a vital part of the local ecosystem.

  • In recent years, restoration efforts led in partnership with the Hagan Creek – KENNES Watershed Project, have helped bring new life to this natural corridor.

  • Enhancements include protective fencing along the trail, interpretive signs for visitors, and the planting of native species to restore the creek’s riparian zone.
