About
Sitting on 13.8 acres, the area was originally used by Indigenous Peoples as a defensive site and for hunting, fishing and harvesting plants
After European contact, the point was named after George Holland, a Hudson’s Bay Company employee and seaman on the Beaver’s maiden voyage to the northwest coast in 1833 to 1836
It was designated as a park in 1947
The park boasts lengthy walking trails along Dallas Road and along the water with views of the Olympic Mountains and access down to a narrow beach
