Nursery Hill Park

Nursery Hill Park is a quiet green space in View Royal, featuring Douglas fir, spring wildflowers, and a short scenic trail surrounded by nearby neighbourhoods and parks.

About

  • Nursery Hill Park is located in View Royal, sits on a 55-metre-high hill, and is approximately 4.5 hectares.

  • The park is dominated by tall Douglas firs, with Garry oaks, Bigleaf maples, and Arbutus scattered along the slopes.

  • A 200-meter trail weaves around rocky outcrops and in the spring, the path comes alive with blooms like the white fawn lily. Other native plants in the park include Oregon grape, Trailing blackberry, and Honeysuckle.

  • Close by are Garry Oak Meadows Park, the Galloping Goose trail, and Thetis Lake Park.

  • Even with some traffic noise from the Trans-Canada Highway, this park remains a quiet and convenient green space for an afternoon walk.
