Oswald Park

Oswald Park in Victoria’s Hillside/Oaklands area is a 1.2-hectare green space with trails, a playground, sports court, off-leash dog area, and a vibrant community garden

About

  • Oswald Park is 1.2 hectares and is located in the Hillside/Oaklands area of Victoria

  • A walking trail surrounds the park and another path goes through the park

  • It has a playground and a multi use sports court

  • Off to one side of the park is an off-leash dog area

  • Tree species in the park include broadleaf maple, Sitka spruce, snowbell, linden, Garry oak, and elm

  • The park also has a beautiful community garden

  • Sadly in 2023, one year after the garden opened, a fire occurred causing over $10,000 in damage

  • Very quickly, volunteers helped to restore it and it is once again a flourishing garden space

  • The garden features 26 allotments available for rent by community members, along with several shared growing spaces for the public to enjoy
