R.O. Bull Park

R.O. Bull Park in North Saanich features a preserved stand of old-growth forest, donated in 1977 to honour community leader and tree enthusiast Col. Roland Osburne Bull

  • R.O. Bull Park is located in the Deep Cove area of North Saanich

  • The park is home to a stand of old-growth forest including Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, and Arbutus

  • The land was donated by the family of Col. Roland Osburne Bull (1895-1972)

  • After a successful business career in Toronto, Bull retired to Vancouver Island in 1957 and went on to found the Victoria Boys’ Club in 1960

  • Following his death, Roland Bull's dedication to the community and his passion for trees were honored with the acquisition of land for this park in 1977
