The creek is known as KELSET (KWOL SIT) Creek in the local language of Sencoten, a dialect of the Coast Salish People.
This park is named after William and Charles Reay. They were goldmining brothers who lived on land around the creek in 1875.
The park was established in 1980.
This park is in an environmentally sensitive area that has been restored by some amazing volunteers.
