Reay Creek Park in Sidney, named after early goldmining brothers, is an environmentally sensitive area along KELSET Creek that has been beautifully restored by dedicated volunteers

  • The creek is known as KELSET (KWOL SIT) Creek in the local language of Sencoten, a dialect of the Coast Salish People.

  • This park is named after William and Charles Reay. They were goldmining brothers who lived on land around the creek in 1875.

  • The park was established in 1980.

  • This park is in an environmentally sensitive area that has been restored by some amazing volunteers.
