Saanich Gorge Park
Saanich Gorge Park lines the scenic Gorge Waterway, offering views of the reversing falls, wildlife sightings, and access to a community garden and nearby ferry dock

Location
Saanich
About
This park is alongside the Gorge Waterway in Saanich
On the east side of the park you’ll find a community garden
Beside the park is the Tillicum Road bridge and under it you can see the reverse falls
The Victoria Harbour Ferry has a dock/stop nearby
In 1912, a two-story bathing pavilion was built, known as the Free
Located opposite the reversing falls, it had a sun-deck, springboards, freshwater showers and the added excitement of leaping from the bridge into the rushing water below
In 1966 Saanich purchased the park from the City of Victoria and by then the Free had burnt down (source)
When visiting the park, you’ll see an assortment of animals in the Gorge including seals, herons, gulls and ducks
